Year-end goals, whats your status?

Posted on

The year ends in a few. It is wise to review your year-end goals and make new year plans. Therefore, Prepare yourself for a productive year by setting goals and working towards it with God’s help. I believe these few points I have listed below will help you prepare for a mind blowing year.

Honestly, 2018 has been so many days of grace. The mere fact you’re alive and reading this, is a testimony. Its time to think back and mirror all that has happened from January to December. It is vital to take stock of your life by asking yourself questions like:

Did I achieve all my goals this year, What did I achieve, What did I not do right, How can I make it right?

Whether it’s been a sweet or bitter experience, its a time to plan and create a mindset for the new year. (Proverbs 16:3; Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established). Making reflection a regular habit is very important because you avoid repetitive mistakes and it keeps you on track.

 Heaven at Last (Matt 24:30-31)

Clearly, It’s no longer news that the end time is near. As we draw towards the end of the year. It is a time to prepare ourselves for heaven. Rapture can take place anytime from now. The last days began when Jesus ascended into heaven from Jerusalem so it’s makes a lot of sense if I say the end it’s near. If the trumpet sounds today where will you go;  will you be saved?, or will  you perish?. Of what gain is it living wonderful on earth and spending eternity in a place of torment.

Sin is the only thing that prevents one from making heaven. If we can be sin free, we can make heaven. God in his infinite mercy knows that we are bound to miss it; so he has shown mercy by accepting our mistakes and granting forgiveness.  (1 John 1:9; If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness).

To be heaven ready, we need to ask God for forgiveness, accept Him as our Savior, keep his commandments, and live a  righteous life.

Also, prayer is a form of communication with God. A lot of requests are granted when prayers are made. When you’re done setting goals, its good to back it up with prayers. To demonstrate, in most cases, the reason people do not fulfill their new year resolutions is because they fail to continually put their resolutions in prayer. We humans can’t do everything on our own, we require help and power from God. The best way to ask for that help is through prayer.  (1 John 5:14: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us)

In conclusion, the beginning and the end of a year is a significant time. How you end 2018 or how you tailor 2019 plays a major part on your life. Seek God and he will help you. (Matt 6:23; But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well). Do not end your year committing sin rather, fellowship with God and you will experience a great turn and testimony in your life.

As a matter of fact, It’s been a great opportunity, having this platform to share God’s word. I thank God for his grace.  Also I thank you all for always reading and supporting me with your love, comments and encouragements.

Till next time, Happy New year!
