Every second I spend with a believer, I get new ideas and grow more spiritually. It was on a Sunday, as my pastor was praying, all of a sudden, he cried “Oh Lord! what are your thoughts concerning me?” Hot tears rolled down my cheeks as I began to wonder what God thinks of me. At that very moment, I decided to live a life that was pleasing to God.
Businesses need customers to survive and every successful business relies on the feedback of their customers to serve them better. CEO’s, on the other hand, employ people to run these businesses and reward them based on their performance and reviews.
Beloved, if God was to share what he thinks about you? What will He say? Can the way God think of you affect or delay the plans God has prepared for you? In today’s post, I will be writing on the thought of God towards you and how it can impact God plan for you.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.JEREMIAH 29:11 KJV
Indeed, God has great and promising plans for us, He has created us in his image to be a light in the world and bring glory to Him. I peter 2:9, tells us that God has chosen and consecrated us, made us royal and peculiar to access mercy and worship Him.
God’s will is that we live transparent lives that inspire others to follow Him. Our attitude, testimony, lifestyle, etc.
Bible characters who were exceptional and how God blessed them
A great example was Job; when God reviewed him, God described him as a perfect and upright man, a man that feared God and shunned evil. God also confirmed that there was none like him in all the earth (Job 1:8). The devil went as far as tormenting Job to see if his love and service to God was genuine. When it was observed that Job was a faithful servant, he was rewarded handsomely; the bible records that Job was more successful than his beginning (Job 42:12-15).
Likewise, Daniel was a faithful and obedient child of God who was uncompromising in holiness. Though he was captured and taken to a strange land, he vowed to impress God. He cared more about the way God thought about him. He vowed never to serve idols and defile himself (Daniel 1:8). God blessed Daniel with an excellent spirit; discernment, interpretation, wisdom, etc. Daniel is a great example of a good ambassador (Daniel 6:5); He always put God first in his decisions, His lifestyle turned the hearts of the Babylonians to God (Daniel 6:26). God delivered him in all circumstances.
How do we acess Gods plan
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.MATTHEW 5:16 KJV
A good ambasador is one who is set apart, holy and righteous, a godly influencer, a chosen, and is Christ-like. A Few qualities of a Christ ambassador include;
- Prayerful Christian, filled with Holy Ghost and power
- One who studies the word of God and practice it in character, lifestyle while exhibiting the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
- One who is not conformed to the world and abstains from all appearance of evil; sin, temptation, peer pressure, etc.
- One who believes God in every circumstance
In conclusion, God is the CEO of our company and everyone we come in contact with during our journey on earth is a potential customer. God sees and rates your lifestyle, character, thoughts, mindset, attitude, spiritual life. If you want Gods plans to come to pass in your life, let holiness, righteousness, godliness and spiritual fruits be your standard. Regardless of where you are or what situation you find yourself. Be like Job so that when the devil goes to the courts of heaven, our Heavenly Father will say, “This is my child, in whom I’m well pleased.”
I pray that from today, you will always be concerned about what God thinks of you. As you do so the plans of God towards you will be fulfilled in Jesus name.
For unbelievers and backsliders
Jesus loves you and me. In all situations, he never forsakes us. God loves us so much that he gave his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
The only thing that separates us from the love and promises of Christ is SIN.
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2
Unrighteousness is sin. Unrighteousness includes all forms of evil and those who indulge will not make heaven; anger, adultery, fornication, strife, un-forgiveness, lying, gossip, idol worship, abusers of themselves with mankind, drunkards, thieves, murders, etc. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Confess your sins to God, repent and amend your ways. He will show you mercy.
He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes their sins shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13
Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 1saiah 1:19.
Your thoughts may lead you to believe that your sins are too heavy to be forgiven. Far from it, Jesus will give you the expected end. Make a U-turn now and Jesus Christ will see you through. Remember heaven, at last, is the end target.
If you want to make Jesus Christ the lord of your life, say the prayer below
Heavenly Father, I confess and repent of known and unknown sins today (confess your sins). Jesus Christ, I surrender my life to you. Come into my life and be my Lord and personal savior. Thank you for your mercy. I ask that you teach me, guide my paths and preserve me for heaven at last. In Jesus name. Thank you, Jesus!
