Look unto Jesus and worry no more

a woman expressing worry

Anna was full of worry. The thought of going home during the holiday season terrorized Anna. Since she turned twenty-four, she hated the holiday season. Her aunties, uncle and family members seemed to be only interested in knowing when she was getting married.  Anna attended all the events during the summer season to look for a boyfriend to at least take home when going for the holidays. December approached and there was no sign of a boyfriend. Anna was at her office end of the year party where she met a guy named Cliff. Because she was so desperate, Anna ended up compromising her faith and lowering her standards to impress Cliff.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Holiday periods can be full of worry

The Holiday season is meant to be a time of joy, love, and peace. On the other hand, most people are overwhelmed and stressed by a lot of factors associated with this season. For example, during this period, money is needed to buy presents for friends, family, etc. To accomplish such desire, most people go as far as worrying, stealing, compromising, pretending, etc.

Today’s blog post is to let you know that these issues should not affect a child of God. As a Christian, you can achieve all you desire and even more when you seek help from Jesus. (Matthew 6:25-33).

Who is responsible for hardship in this world?

The devil creates these situations so that we can make choices that lead to sin. So that he can disgrace and distance us from Christ. Sin creates a barrier between man and Christ. The devil and his agents hate humanity and will go at any length to in-cure God’s wrath upon man. We Praise God because whenever we seek his mercies, he forgives us. (Isaiah 1: 18- 19).

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

Proverbs 14:12

How do we approach these situations

Worry, murmuring or resulting in bad choices is not a solution to this kind of problem. In fact, Christians are meant to have a good life filled with blessings, favor, and prosperity.

All we need to do is to ask God (Matthew 7:7). This can be done through prayers. If your parents can assist you with whatever you ask for, how much more Jesus Christ who gave his life for us.

We need to have faith and trust God to give us the resources and mindset to have a worry-free holiday. If you can trust your fancy restaurants with your food. Why can’t you trust God who has done the wondrous works in the bible and in our days.

Stealing, pretense, suicide, etc might seem like the right thing to do. They are all categorized as sin. It might take care of your issues temporally. But it is a dangerous path, it will only cause you trouble long-term.

Have you considered casting all your care on Jesus?

God’s arms are open waiting for you to send your request. If Anna, instead of worrying asked Jesus for help. He would have sent a godly man her way. One who will respect, love and encourage her in her faith.

God’s timing might not be your timing. Be rest assured that Jesus has never failed and will never fail.

Embrace the Solution to all problems

Are you overwhelmed with the season preparations and demands? Thinking of making bad decisions.

Repent and give your life to Christ. Giving in to sin is not worth the value of your soul. Jesus is the only solution.

Are you a righteous and faithful servant who’s been serving God your whole life? Because of feeble issues, you are contemplating on making bad choices. Do not fall into the sin of backsliding. Trust God and He will help you.

God will only assist you if you are His son or daughter. To become a son or daughter you need to be born again and avoid sin. (1 John 1:12, 2 Corinthians 17-18)

If you want to give your life to Christ, say the prayer below.

Heavenly Father, I confess and repent of known and unknown sins today (confess your sins). Jesus Christ, I surrender my life to you. Come into my life and be my Lord and personal savior. Thank you for your mercy. I ask that you teach me, guide my paths and preserve me for heaven at last. In Jesus name. Thank you, Jesus.

Congratulations! Now that you’re saved, please find a bible believing church to continue this process and maintain your salvation.
